An integral part of the University of Central Missouri’s annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration held each year in January is the presentation of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Service Award and the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., High School Community Service Award.
These awards are presented jointly by the Greater Warrensburg Area Chamber of Commerce and the UCM Center for Multiculturalism and Inclusivity. The 2026 awards will be presented Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at First United Methodist Church, 141 E Gay Street in Warrensburg, MO. We’re pleased to welcome guest speaker Bob Lotspeich, who will share his insights on service, community, and the importance of recognizing those who lead by example.
