The Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce Governmental Relations Committee is hosting a Candidate Forum on July 17th at 5:30 p.m. at The American Legion Post 131 in Warrensburg for candidates running in contested races in the August 6th Primary Election for Missouri State Senator District 31, Missouri House of Representatives District 54 and Johnson County Presiding Commissioner Western District.
The August 6th Primary election will include candidate races for federal, state, and county offices that are up for election. The purpose of the primary election is to select one nominee for each office from each established party to move on to the November General Election. For the August primary election, only the Republican Party has a contested race for the three offices being invited to the Chamber Candidate Forum. The Chamber plans to host a forum for the General Election in the fall for the nominees for each major party.

For State Representative – District 54
– Brandon Phelps (Rep)

For Commissioner of the Johnson County Commission—Western District

– Jerry Ellis (Rep)
