Johnson County ranks fifth in Missouri beef production and its stockmen send 40,000 cattle to market annually. Row crops and other agricultural production add $53 million to the economy, and countywide agriculture sales of all kinds total $80 million a year. Most of this money recycles several times through local cash registers.

Together with private enterprise and public institutions, agriculture is a major part of the diverse economic formula responsible for Warrensburg’s continuing vibrancy and growth.
